Tip & Donate — From Anywhere.

Kharisma is a simple way for individuals, businesses, and nonprofits to receive tips and donations—and, for individuals and businesses, to accept payments when someone scans their personal QR code. Supporters can give from the website or by scanning a QR, with everything processed securely through Stripe.

Anyone who wants to receive support can sign up: individuals (like workers, creators, or freelancers), small businesses, and nonprofits. During sign-up, we connect your profile to Stripe so you can start receiving tips and donations quickly and securely.

No app is required. Supporters can tip or donate directly from the Kharisma website or scan a QR code using their phone's camera. From there, they complete the contribution using cards or digital wallets they already use.

From the website, supporters can send tips and donations to individuals, businesses, or nonprofits. When someone scans a personal QR code, individuals and businesses can also accept payments (for services, products, or tabs), in addition to tips and donations. All activity flows through Stripe for secure processing.

All contributions are processed by Stripe and deposited into the bank account connected during onboarding. Payout timing and schedules are managed by Stripe according to your Stripe account settings, so funds go directly to you without Kharisma holding your money.

A small processing fee applies to each transaction, similar to standard Stripe card fees. In many cases, individuals and businesses can choose whether they cover the fee themselves or allow supporters to cover it, which can bring your effective cost close to zero.

When you sign up on the Kharisma website, we guide you through a short Stripe onboarding flow where you confirm your details and connect a payout account. Once Stripe approves your information, your Kharisma profile is activated so you can start receiving tips and donations.

After onboarding, you'll receive a welcome email with your personal QR codes, a link to add your primary QR to Apple Wallet (Android wallet support coming soon), and a unique link you can share on social media, websites, or in-person materials.

Taxes related to funds you receive are handled through your Stripe account, which may provide tax forms and reporting depending on your location and earnings. Kharisma does not provide tax advice, so we recommend consulting with a tax professional if you have questions about your specific situation.

eMeals4u and Kharisma share the same underlying platform and payment infrastructure. eMeals4u focuses on supporting meal programs and food-related causes, while Kharisma is a broader experience for tips, donations, and payments for individuals, businesses, and nonprofits. In some cases, your Kharisma profile can also be used to support meal-related initiatives.
