What is Kharisma?
Kharisma is a mobile-first web application that helps people tip, donate, and pay through QR codes and shareable links.
Do supporters need an app?
No. Supporters can scan a QR code or open a shared link and complete the flow in a browser.
What account types are supported?
The supported onboarding types are Business, Individual, and Nonprofit.
Can Kharisma be used in person?
Yes. Kharisma is designed for real-world moments at tables, counters, events, churches, hotels, nonprofit campaigns, and community spaces.
Onboarding
What information do users provide during signup?
Users provide first name, last name, email, and account type.
What happens after signup?
Kharisma sends an email to continue onboarding with Stripe.
What does Stripe handle?
Stripe handles financial onboarding, payout setup, banking verification, and compliance-related verification.
When do users get dashboard access?
After Stripe onboarding is completed, Kharisma sends emails for dashboard access and password setup or reset.
What happens after Stripe onboarding?
Users get dashboard access, welcome pack details, QR instructions, and profile setup guidance.
Profiles
Can I customize my profile?
Yes. Profiles can include a logo or image, display name, description, QR codes, and connected profiles.
Can people discover my profile publicly?
Yes. Public profiles can appear in discovery flows on kharisma.io.
Can I describe my organization or services?
Yes. The about section is meant for that.
Connected Profiles
Can multiple people receive tips from one QR code?
Yes. Connected Profiles can share one QR code or one browser flow.
Can I invite employees or volunteers?
Yes. Connected Profiles support invitations for people who belong to the same group or organization.
Can I organize people into groups?
Yes. Groups, tags, and folders help structure larger teams.
Can customers choose who receives the tip?
Yes. They can choose a specific person or split evenly, depending on the setup.
Can connected profiles receive payments?
No. Connected Profiles receive tips and donations only.
What is the difference between Connected Profiles and Joined Profiles?
Connected Profiles are the group structure. Joined Profiles are the invited accounts or organizations a person belongs to.

Can invited users manage multiple organizations?
Yes. A user can switch between joined profiles when they belong to more than one organization.
Do joined profiles get invitations?
Yes. Joined Profiles start with an invitation flow.
Dashboard
Can I share my QR code link?
Yes. Users can copy and share the link with customers, friends, family, and supporters.
Can I resend the welcome pack?
Yes. The dashboard includes a resend option.
Can I print my QR code?
Yes. Users can download and print QR codes, including 2x2 and 3x4 sizes.

Is Kharisma a downloadable app?
No. Kharisma is a mobile-first web application.
Does Kharisma work on mobile browsers?

How do QR codes work?
A QR code opens the Kharisma profile or support flow in the browser.
Can I add my QR code to my wallet?
Yes, where wallet support is available.

Can one QR code be reused?
Yes. A QR code can be reused as long as it points to the correct profile or campaign.
Can I print my QR code?
Yes. Print it clearly, keep enough white space around it, and test it with a phone before using it publicly.
Can I use a QR holder?
Yes. QR holders are useful on restaurant tables, counters, welcome desks, event tables, and donation stations.
Can QR codes be added to mobile wallets?
Yes, where wallet support is available.
Payouts and fees
How fast are payouts?
Stripe manages the financial onboarding and payout setup. For many business and individual accounts, funds are typically available the next business day.
How do fees work?
Fee handling depends on the flow.
- Kharisma public pricing uses a 3.9% + 50¢ total processing fee.
- Business and individual flows can support fee splitting, including
50/50or sender pays all fees. - Nonprofit donation flows can also support fee splitting where enabled.
Can the sender cover the fees?
Yes. Where fee splitting is enabled, the sender can cover all fees.
Organizations and use cases
Can churches use Kharisma?
Yes. Churches can use Kharisma for donations, special offerings, ministries, and community campaigns.
Can nonprofits use Kharisma?
Yes. Nonprofits can use Kharisma for donation links, recurring giving, event QR codes, and campaign support.
Can nonprofits receive service payments?
No. Nonprofits receive donations and tips only.
Can campaigns have separate QR codes?
Yes. Separate QR codes can help supporters give to the correct campaign or ministry.
Can business and individual accounts receive payments?
Yes. Business and individual flows support immediate service payments.
Can connected profiles receive service payments?
No. Connected Profiles receive tips and donations only.
Security
Is Kharisma secure?
Kharisma uses Stripe for payment processing and payout onboarding. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant.
Should supporters verify the page before paying?
Yes. Supporters should confirm the profile or campaign name before confirming payment.
What if a QR code is damaged or suspicious?
Do not use it. Ask for the official Kharisma link or scan a trusted QR code.
